Aeration week

 

Deep tine aeration to the greens. Tine goes down 10 inches which supports better rooting and plant health 

After the deep (solid tune) went over the greens we aerated the greens with half inch hole on 3 inch centers. Then back filled the holes with sand.

 

Here the staff is blowing the sand into the holes and evening out sand piles 

Here is a picture of the tees getting aerated, all tees, fairways and rough were aerated.

 

Using the mowers to chop up the aeration plugs and mowing. 

 

 

 

Last two pictures show one of the fairway mowers that have to be grinded after chopping up the aeration plugs.

It took Dale approximately 30 man hours to grind and reset to ensure a quality cut.
