Greens Aeration

Aerating greens surface

1/2 inch holes on 3 inch centers

Crew cleaning plugs off of greens

More cleaning off plugs

Removing plugs from greens

Rolling greens before topdressing.  We decided to roll first since the surface was soft.  This helped to prevent tire indentations from the topdressing machine

Adding sand to the greens so the aeration holes can be filled in.  The aeration holes filled with sand allow for a great environment for new root growth and a healthy environment for the existing roots.

This is a picture of the thickness of the sand layer we have applied to the greens for fill the holes.  The entire green will be covered with sand  We used about 55 tons of sand for this topdressing
