Greens Fertility

We are adding some needed nutrients to the greens.  During aeration is a good time to apply nutrients to the greens so they can be blown into the open aeration holes and have a better chance of reaching the roots and  enhance the soil, which will provide better root development.
Francisco is adding Hi Cal lime to the greens.  Calcium is a building block for the other nutrients to hold on to.

Jay is adding a 9-18-18 fertilizer to increase the Phosphorus and Potassium levels in the greens.  Since the greens consist 85% sand we apply small amounts of nutrient through out the year.  This allows for more plant uptake and less leaching and runoff of the nutrients
