I am showing the "Stolons" (roots) of the Bermudagrass. These pictures were taken in the shade lines
on #3, #10 and Behind #7 Green. I am looking for any damage to the root structure. What I see is a green stolon which is good!! With the extreme weather we have had this winter there is concern of winter damage to the Bermudagrass. Especially in the areas where we sodded last year. Once the Rhizome (undergroud root system) gets deep in the ground, there will be less chance of winter damage. It is good to see at this time of the year the Bermuda grass seems to be doing fine with the ice and snow cover we have recieved.
I will continue to check areas until we see some green up during late April
